
The 2019 Plano Balloon Festival will be Sep. 20-22 at the Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas. Sponsored by InTouch Credit Union, there will be three spectacular days celebrating 40 years of Hot Air Ballooning in Plano.
Days and Hours
The Balloon Festival will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, and run to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Hours are expected to be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Transportation and Admission
You can hop onto the “Balloon Flyer” shuttle at the DART Parker Road Station. Buses will run continuously during all the operating hours of the festival. General admission is only $5.00, but kids get in for free!
Festival Events and Balloon Launches
The festival features over 40 incredible hot air balloons. They will launch and fill the sky with a kaleidoscope of captivating shapes and colors all weekend, as long as the weather permits. You won’t regret coming at sundown Friday or Saturday evening as you see burners ignite. The contrast against the night sky creates a thrilling effect
The multitude of events will appeal to visitors of all ages and will also include a parachute team exhibition, skydivers, a huge kid’s fun zone, concerts, live music, entertainment, lots of food and drinks, vendors and corporate exhibitors selling handmade products and business and other merchandise, and more.
